1st SUNDAY IN ADVENT
Our Christingle service fell on the first Sunday in Advent so as well as lighting the Christingles candles we also lit the first candle on our Advent Wreath.
Two days before the service a team of volunteers assembled 100 Christingles in anticipation of the very popular service.
In the service, as we lit the first candle on the Advent wreath, we were reminded to Keep Awake. Later in the service we were reminded of how our Christingles help us Keep awake.
We prayed that we will watch and pray each day to let the light of Christ shine out from our lives – that we will be like the orange holder – for the candle light, for the Christ light – His light guide us to be watchful and waiting through all Advent.
