Annual General Meeting

The La Côte Anglican Church Development Association held its Annual General Meeting in the Divonne church parish rooms after the 10 o’clock Holy Communion Service.

The meeting was very well attended with 55 church member and families.

Carolyn chaired the meeting starting with an overview of the 2025 church activities.

Our new treasurer, John Buckingham, then gave a review of the church’s financial situation.

This was followed by elections of officers for 2026 -2027. There were several changes to holders of positions: Diantha Terry was confirmed as the sole Churchwarden after Liz Bramley retired. Kate Shepherd took on the role of President of the Association after John Tracey retired. Archdeaconry representatives were confirmed.

After all the business was completed Jessica Chapman introduced the main discussion item focusing on COMMUNITY, PRAYER, GROWTH and OUTREACH. There was the opportunity to write comments on post-its and add to the appropriate poster. Council will look at these comments and
discuss at Council.

Carolyn gave final thanks to Louise and Jeremy Burrows who will be relocating to the UK. The meeting was closed with prayer.

Before moving on to the pot-luck lunch, organised by our Chaplain’s Administrative Assistant – Liz Le Feuvre, we all joined together to congratulate and sing Happy Birthday to Betty Talbot who was celebrating her 70th birthday.
