We celebrated our traditional Ascension-day service of Holy Communion in the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Rianmont at Vésancy; after which 13 of us set off on a pilgrimage to visit all the churches we worship in. We stopped in Divonne where George Mills gave us an interesting talk on some of the history of the temple.
The La Côte Anglican Church Development Association held its Annual General Meeting in the Divonne church parish rooms after the 10 o’clock Holy Communion Service. 50 people turned up to listen to “Not quite a concert” on Saturday afternoon at Gingins Church. Two of our congregation, Jeremy Burrows and Jane Djate, were joined by two friends to form a string quartet. The instruments played were two violins, one viola and one cello.
