The Maundy Thursday service started with an introduction to three rituals, before Jesus began his way to the cross, representing three dynamics of
Christian Life – 1 Personal: Anointing by a minister; 2 Companionship: Foot and hand washing done to each other; 3 Community: Last supper – Holy
Communion.
Good Friday and Holy Saturday were services of music, prayer and reflection.
All these services led up to the Sunrise service at dawn on Easter day which was followed by a shared breakfast with our Swiss host church family.
At 10 o’clock we celebrated our Easter Day Holy Communion followed by an egg hunt for the children in the grounds outside the church building.
When all the eggs had been found the grounds were transformed into an outdoor picnic area where a pot-luck lunch was enjoyed in the beautiful
sunshine.
