REVD. BETTY TALBOT’S PRIESTING SERVICE

On a very hot and sunny Saturday afternoon on 5th July Betty Talbot’s priesting service took place in the Protestant church in Crassier.

Bishop Alison White and Archdeacon Peter Hooper had travelled from the UK to preside at this ceremony.

There were more than 90 people present in the congregation who had come to support Betty in this priesting ceremony. Friends and family
were all delighted to be able to witness this next step in Betty’s Ordination.

Betty will now serve as Assistant Curate to Carolyn at La Côte Anglican Church.

After the church ceremony we all enjoyed a wonderful reception provided by Betty’s family.

The following day, Sunday 6 th July, Betty began to serve as a priest in the Anglican tradition at La Côte by presiding at the Eucharist.
