NATIVITY TABLEAU

Sunday morning in Divonne a very enthusiastic group of children, parents and grandparents, along with friends, acted out the nativity story of the birth Jesus.

As the story was narrated, we watched as Mary and Joseph arrived at Bethlehem and found shelter in a stable where Jesus was born during the night.

Next we saw the shepherds arrive to see the baby after following a bright star which led them to Bethlehem.

After this the bright star guided wise men to the stable so that they could give gifts and worship the new King that had been born.

We wound up the event with a blessing from Carolyn: May the trust of Joseph, the courage of Mary, the generosity of the innkeeper, the joy of the shepherds, the wisdom of the magi, and the songs of the angels, be with us all this Christmas.

Thanks very much to everyone who brought the story of our Saviour’s birth to life – especially Emma Ryves, Alison Ball and Lucy Kennedy.
