After a year’s break from ”Bossey Day” an enthusiastic group of nearly 50 people spent the day at Château Bossey on Saturday 17th January, 2026.
Chuck Wilson, along with help from Funke Stauble, designed and ran the day’s meeting using the theme
“BE NOT AFRAID”.
The day started with registration and welcome coffee followed by a worship service with prayers, a Bible reading and songs referring to the theme of the
day. We sang together:
“Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you.
I have called you by your name; you are Mine.”
After the opening worship we moved into the Salle Hexagon to start our day’s teaching and discussions led by Chuck. The Bible passage we studied was LUKE 7: 36-50 about a sinful woman who had courage to go to Jesus to seek forgiveness.
At the end of the morning discussion we ate a delicious 3 course lunch in the restaurant of Château Bossey. There was a good choice of menus to satisfy all tastes and requirements. After this we had free time to relax and enjoy Château Bossey and its beautiful grounds.
The afternoon session continued expanding on the theme “BE NOT AFRAID” with Chuck teaching, group discussions and an origami session on the same theme led by Funke. We also read Habakuk’s Prayer which can be found in the Bible – HABAKUK 3: 16-19. We ended the day with a short prayer and worship session with Steve and Monika Rawcliffe leading us in song.
