All About Gingins

Welcome to La Côte! This beautiful area nestled between Lac Léman and the Jura is very popular with English speaking people. The towns and villages along this picturesque lakeside are host to a very diverse community.

La Côte Anglican Church seeks to serve the wide range of people who have settled in this area, and who wish to live out their Christian faith within a relaxed Anglican tradition.

We meet in the Swiss Church in the village of Gingins.

This website will introduce you to our community, and inform you of our activities.

Do come and visit us sometime. We meet each Sunday at 4pm.

It was 17 years ago that a group of Anglicans began to meet for regular services together. Many of them were commuting in to Geneva for work, and wished that they could meet locally for worship on Sundays.

They soon fell in love with the Church in Gingins. It has a simplicity and atmosphere that attracts all who worship there. Dating back to the 14th Century, the Temple de Gingins offers a spiritual home that has spanned Catholic and Protestant eras.

The congregation has worked hard over the years to build regular services, benefiting from the pastoral oversight of successive chaplains from Holy Trinity in Geneva.

In September 2003, Paul Holley was licensed as chaplain to La Côte, and a new phase of ministry is now underway.
