All About Divonne

 The very first Anglican service in English in Divonne took place at the ‘temple’ in September 2005. This was an initiative of a group of members of La Côte Anglican Church, together with the Chaplain, who saw great potential for developing a new church community in Divonne and the surrounding area. The ‘temple’ belongs to the Eglise Réformée de France who are very welcoming and enthusiastic about our collaboration with them. The church is located near the centre of Divonne, within easy walking distance of the main streets, shops and Sunday morning market.

Services are held twice a month, on the second and fourth Sundays, at 10 am. We enjoy a good balance of Morning Worship and Holy Communion services, with family services at least once a term. We also hold extra services from time to time, according to the availability of the church. At least once a year we enjoy a joint service with our French hosts. The attractive parish rooms (see below) are situated in the next door building, just across the grass, and provide excellent space for our children’s groups, and for coffee after the worship. We like to consider La Côte as one church community and all members and visitors are very welcome to services and events held at Gingins or Divonne. There are many social and fund-raising events too, as well as study and prayer groups. Do look at our newsletter for further details.
